Build your marketing dream team while saving time and thousands in the process!

Someone struggling with the amount of work and lack of time.

Are you struggling with…

  • Strenuous workload;
  • Time management;
  • Covering recruitment costs;
  • Attracting the right talent;
  • Retaining good marketers.

Then you’re in the right place!

A little context

Marketing apprenticeships are an excellent way of building out your marketing team. They are a cost-effective and flexible way of filling skills gaps, alleviating workload, and bringing fresh ideas into your organisation. Plus, they give you a competitive edge!

Could they solve your problems?

Here’s just a few of the common problems marketing apprenticeships can solve:

  • No recruitment fees or expensive job ads.
  • We handle CV filtering and candidate screening, saving you hours.
  • Save £4,000–£8,000 on salaries and NI contributions.
  • Free up time and capacity for your team.
  • Apprentices bring fresh ideas and valuable skills.
  • High retention rates—apprentices are driven and dedicated.

How does it work?

The process is super simple. We make it as easy as possible for you to hire your marketing apprentice by:

  1. Advertising your role;
  2. Screening the candidates;
  3. Sending you a shortlist;
  4. You interview and hire a candidate as normal;
  5. We enrol your candidate on an apprenticeship;
  6. Then we support you and your apprentice throughout the programme.

The whole process typically takes around 4 – 6 weeks depending on your requirements.

Who can you hire?

Effectively, anyone you like as long as they:

  • Are 16 years old or over;
  • Are eligible to work and live within the UK;
  • And, do not already have a marketing degree or higher.

This means that you can hire graduates, college leavers, and those looking to retrain. Not just school leavers…👍

During my Digital Marketing apprenticeship, my coach had a significant impact on my knowledge and skills in the field. He was a true expert, with an engaging teaching style and the ability to break down complex topics into simple steps. He provided personalised feedback which I could apply directly to my role at work as well as to my portfolio, and innumerable support. To me, what set him apart was his dedication to my (and everyone else’s) success – it was clear that he truly wanted the best for us. I couldn’t have asked for a better coach and recommend him wholeheartedly.

Mitch was a fantastic apprenticeship coach and helped me to achieve my Level 4 DM qualification. He was always patient and helpful and nothing was too much when it came to helping his students. I can’t thank him enough for all the help and experience he gave me when I was starting out in my career!

Apprenticeship programmes have transformed the hiring process for junior marketing staff for me, offering undeniable benefits such as increased productivity, cost-effectiveness, and fresh perspectives. The apprentices’ willingness to learn injects new life into the team and improves management and marketing skills. Partnering with companies like The Marketing Trainer enhances the success of apprentices, making it a game-changing strategy for businesses.

Recruiting the right marketing support felt overwhelming and time-consuming, especially in an area outside our expertise. Working with The Marketing Trainer removed that uncertainty completely. Our apprentice has since transformed our marketing — growing social media, creating campaigns that generate real client enquiries, and becoming a confident, proactive member of the team. The structured training and ongoing support have clearly strengthened both their development and the overall impact they bring to our business.

The Marketing Trainer has supported our business by offering apprenticeships in digital marketing and customer care. This has been a great way to scale our business whilst being able to offer opportunities to students who want to learn and succeed in what they are doing within our business. Mitch is an enthusiastic teacher, an excellent communicator, a consummate professional in his field, and importantly was excellent at supporting our apprentices and the businesses’ needs.

We’ve had a great experience with TMT – they were really proactive in their recruitment and found us the perfect candidate, whose attitude to her work has been second to none. It’s been brilliant to see her progress over the last few months and how she’s been able to apply her learning to her day-to-day tasks, and TMT have been incredibly supportive throughout the whole process.

After losing two members of our marketing team, we struggled to find the right replacements and had disappointing experiences with recruitment agencies. The Marketing Trainer made the process simple and stress-free, presenting us with a strong selection of graduates within weeks. Both apprentices have since become valued members of our team — improving our processes, bringing fresh creativity, and adding real momentum to our marketing activity.

Before our apprentice joined, our team was stretched and marketing demand was growing fast. He quickly stepped in, brought consistency to our brand, and even led a full event from start to finish. His confidence and initiative have grown massively, and the support from The Marketing Trainer has made a real difference — we’ve already committed to hiring another apprentice.

From streamlining key data processes to leading impactful reporting projects, his attention to detail and analytical thinking have stood out. His confidence, collaboration, and ability to turn data into clear, actionable insight have made him a genuine asset to the team.

Before our apprentice joined, our communications lacked consistency and direction. She quickly brought structure, creativity, and focus — strengthening our social media, improving messaging, and even supporting a fundraising campaign that raised over £8,500. Her confidence and professionalism have grown hugely, and she’s become an integral part of the team, bringing fresh ideas and real impact to our work.

How does funding work?

Funding apprenticeships can go one of two ways, either through Co-Investment or Levy Contributions.

Levy (big companies)

(Payroll bill over £3m)

Employers with an annual wage bill over £3 million contribute 0.5% of their payroll into the levy pot. This pot can be used to fund apprenticeship training.

Co-investment (small companies)

(Payroll bill under £3m)

Co-investment employers share the cost of apprenticeship training with the UK government. You’ll typically pay 5% of the training costs, and the government covers the remaining 95%.

Cost breakdown

Course
Levy
Co-investment 50 or more staff (95% funded)
Co-investment of less than 50 staff (95% – 100% funded)
Multi-Channel Marketer £11,000 £475 – £550 It could cost you nothing*
Market Research Executive £8,000 £350 – £400 It could cost you nothing*

*If you hire

  • A 16 to 21 year old;
  • Or a 19 to 24-year-old with an education, health and care plan provided by their local authority or has been in the care of their local authority.

Additionally, if you take on an apprentice who is between 16 – 18 years old, you’ll be eligible for a £1,000 cash incentive.
