Build your marketing dream team while saving time and thousands in the process!
Are you struggling with…
- Strenuous workload;
- Time management;
- Covering recruitment costs;
- Attracting the right talent;
- Retaining good marketers.
Then you’re in the right place!
A little context
Marketing apprenticeships are an excellent way of building out your marketing team. They are a cost-effective and flexible way of filling skills gaps, alleviating workload, and bringing fresh ideas into your organisation. Plus, they give you a competitive edge!
Could they solve your problems?
Here’s just a few of the common problems marketing apprenticeships can solve:
- No recruitment fees or expensive job ads.
- We handle CV filtering and candidate screening, saving you hours.
- Save Ā£4,000āĀ£8,000 on salaries and NI contributions.
- Free up time and capacity for your team.
- Apprentices bring fresh ideas and valuable skills.
- High retention ratesāapprentices are driven and dedicated.
How does it work?
The process is super simple. We make it as easy as possible for you to hire your marketing apprentice by:
- Advertising your role;
- Screening the candidates;
- Sending you a shortlist;
- You interview and hire a candidate as normal;
- We enrol your candidate on an apprenticeship;
- Then we support you and your apprentice throughout the programme.
The whole process typically takes around 4 – 6 weeks depending on your requirements.
Who can you hire?
Effectively, anyone you like as long as they:
- Are 16 years old or over;
- Are eligible to work and live within the UK;
- And, do not already have a marketing degree or higher.
This means that you can hire graduates, college leavers, and those looking to retrain. Not just school leavers…š
What are people saying?
Apprenticeship programmes have transformed the hiring process for junior marketing staff for me, offering undeniable benefits such as increased productivity, cost-effectiveness, and fresh perspectives. The apprenticesā willingness to learn injects new life into the team and improves management and marketing skills. Partnering with companies like The Marketing Trainer enhances the success of apprentices, making it a game-changing strategy for businesses.
The Marketing Trainer has supported our business by offering apprenticeships in digital marketing and customer care. This has been a great way to scale our business whilst being able to offer opportunities to students who want to learn and succeed in what they are doing within our business. Mitch is an enthusiastic teacher, an excellent communicator, a consummate professional in his field, and importantly was excellent at supporting our apprentices and the businessesā needs.

How does funding work?
Funding apprenticeships can go one of two ways, either through Co-Investment or Levy Contributions.
Levy (big companies)
(Payroll bill over Ā£3m)
Employers with an annual wage bill over Ā£3 million contribute 0.5% of their payroll into the levy pot. This pot can be used to fund apprenticeship training.
Co-investment (small companies)
(Payroll bill under Ā£3m)
Co-investment employers share the cost of apprenticeship training with the UK government. You’ll typically pay 5% of the training costs, and the government covers the remaining 95%.
Cost breakdown
Course |
Levy |
Co-investment 50 or more staff (95% funded) |
Co-investment of less than 50 staff (95% – 100% funded) |
