The company is an established UK-based used vehicle dealership and service provider operating for over 50 years in the Yorkshire area. It offers a range of second-hand vehicles, including cars, vans, and 4x4s, alongside servicing, repairs, and bodywork solutions

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated marketing apprentice to help them grow the business across multiple channels. The role involves planning and creating social media content, including video and photography, as well as editing video content and developing the company’s social media profiles to improve engagement and brand presence.

The apprentice will also assist with managing the company website and carrying out general administrative tasks. This includes handling customer enquiries, supporting front-of-house duties, and contributing to smooth day-to-day operations. Additional responsibilities include vehicle collection and delivery, as well as assisting with promotional activities at country shows and events.

The role also includes blog writing to support content marketing efforts and using data analysis tools such as Google Analytics to track performance and inform improvements. Overall, the position provides hands-on experience across multiple areas of marketing, administration, and customer service, helping to build a broad and practical skill set.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and producing social media content, including video and photography
  • Editing video content and growing/maintaining social media profiles
  • Updating and managing the company website alongside general administrative tasks
  • Responding to customer enquiries and supporting front-of-house operations
  • Collecting and delivering vehicles, and assisting with country show and event promotions
  • Carrying out a range of general administrative duties
  • Writing blog content to support marketing activity
  • Analysing performance data using tools such as Google Analytics
  • You will be required to be involved with other ad hoc duties to assist the business when required.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Right to live and work in England.
  • Has achieved a grade 4/C or above in English and maths GCSE.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential, as the role involves driving other vehicles.
  • A friendly, “can-do” attitude with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.
  • Basic understanding or interest in social media management and content creation.
  • Mature, responsible approach with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive team player who can fit into a small, close-knit team.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle a busy workload.
  • Flexibility to get involved in a variety of tasks, as no two days are the same.
  • An interest in the automotive or agricultural sector is beneficial but not essential.

 

The Apprenticeship

This role will be part of a level three Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship provided by The Marketing Trainer. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics over its 15-month duration, including:

  • Campaign management;
  • Content creation;
  • Social Media marketing;
  • Digital and traditional communications;
  • Brand management;
  • Communication skills;
  • Project Management;
  • And much, much more.

All training and support will be conducted remotely via small group training cohorts and one-to-one coaching sessions that ensure you receive individualised support along the entirety of the apprenticeship.

In addition to this, the successful candidate will be enrolled on a full CIM Foundation Certificate at no extra cost. This means that once you’re finished on the apprenticeship you’ll be awarded two distinct qualifications as opposed to one.
