About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Marketing & Communications Coordinator to manage core communications, customer engagement, and marketing initiatives for our client. This role emphasizes creating compelling written content, maintaining customer-facing systems, and coordinating internal processes, while collaborating with external partners.
You will help amplify our presence across social media, local networks, and public-facing campaigns, complementing the existing marketing team. This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead marketing efforts within a small, dynamic team, where your contributions will have a visible impact on the organisation’s profile and visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media & Digital Engagement
- Plan, schedule, and post content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
- Respond to comments and messages to engage audiences and build community
- Monitor trends and suggest seasonal or topical content ideas
Copywriting & Communications
- Produce clear, engaging copy for web, brochures, signage, campaigns, and visitor communications
- Align messaging across platforms and respond to visitor enquiries online and in person
Local Outreach & Partnerships
- Build relationships with schools, community groups, tourism bodies, and local influencers
- Promote events via local listings, newsletters, and community channels
- Represent the organisation at local events and networking opportunities
Campaign Coordination
- Support planning and delivery of marketing campaigns for events, memberships, and experiences
- Brief external designers and coordinate visuals, messaging, and timing across channels
- Manage regular email campaigns to promote events, updates, and offers
Content Briefing & Coordination
- Work with internal and external teams to ensure visuals and messaging align with campaign goals
- Capture basic content (photos, short videos) to support campaigns
Candidate Requirements
- Has the right to live and work in the UK
- Achieved 4/C and above in English and maths GCSE or equivalent
- A reliable team member with the flexibility to travel to our office as needed (must be able to drive)

- Strong social media skills and a keen understanding of online engagement.
- A positive, proactive attitude – someone who takes initiative and can work independently.
- A self-starter with a “get up and go” approach, able to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.

- Excellent planning and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.

The Apprenticeship
This role will be part of a level three Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship provided by The Marketing Trainer. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics over its 15-month duration, including:
- Campaign management;
- Content creation;
- Social Media marketing;
- Digital and traditional communications;
- Brand management;
- Communication skills;
- Project Management;
- And much, much more.
All training and support will be conducted remotely via small group training cohorts and one-to-one coaching sessions that ensure you receive individualised support along the entirety of the apprenticeship.
In addition to this, the successful candidate will be enrolled on a full CIM Foundation Certificate at no extra cost. This means that once you’re finished on the apprenticeship you’ll be awarded two distinct qualifications as opposed to one.
