Marketing Apprenticeship Vacancy in Manchester

We’re working with a back office service provider based in Manchester. They offer HR, IT, and accountancy services and are looking for a creative individual to come in and join them as a marketing apprentice.

About the Role

This is a hands-on marketing apprenticeship where you’ll be involved in real activity from day one.

You’ll support the delivery of campaigns across multiple channels, with a strong focus on content creation, digital marketing, and lead generation.

You’ll be learning on the job while building the skills to eventually take ownership of key areas of marketing.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll start by supporting activity across the team, and as your confidence grows, you’ll take ownership of key areas:

  • Create social media content from day one (posts, captions, basic visuals)
  • Write blogs, email campaigns, and general marketing copy
  • Use tools like Canva to design simple, on-brand assets
  • Support and gradually take ownership of website updates and content
  • Assist with paid advertising campaigns (e.g. Google Ads / PPC), learning how to optimise performance
  • Contribute to SEO activity, particularly through content creation
  • Help create and schedule email campaigns, progressing to managing your own sends
  • Support and eventually manage LinkedIn activity and engagement
  • Monitor campaign performance and learn how to improve results
  • Identify potential leads from marketing activity and pass these to the wider team
  • Support event planning and attend events, capturing content and insights

 

What They’re Looking For

  • Has the right to live and work in the UK
  • Achieved C/4 and above in English and maths GCSE
  • Strong written communication skills (non-negotiable)
  • Able to create engaging social media posts, blogs, or emails from day one
  • Comfortable using Canva or similar tools for basic design work
  • A good eye for content, tone, and what grabs attention
  • An interest in marketing and how businesses grow
  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to learn and improve
  • Comfortable using digital tools and picking up new platforms quickly

Nice to have (but not essential):

  • Experience managing social media accounts (personal or business)
  • Basic understanding of SEO or email marketing

 

The Apprenticeship

This role will be part of a level three Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship provided by The Marketing Trainer. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics over its 15-month duration, including:

  • Campaign management;
  • Content creation;
  • Social Media marketing;
  • Digital and traditional communications;
  • Brand management;
  • Communication skills;
  • Project Management;
  • And much, much more.

All training and support will be conducted remotely via small group training cohorts and one-to-one coaching sessions that ensure you receive individualised support along the entirety of the apprenticeship.

In addition to this, the successful candidate will be enrolled on a full CIM Foundation Certificate at no extra cost. This means that once you’re finished on the apprenticeship you’ll be awarded two distinct qualifications as opposed to one.
