About the Company

A business that provides monthly subscription boxes aimed at young children, containing craft and sensory play activities. Each kit includes the necessary materials and instructions, designed to encourage creativity, learning, and screen-free play at home. The company operates on a modest scale, focusing on convenience for families.

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated marketing apprentice to help grow the business across multiple channels. You’ll get hands-on experience with organic social, paid ads, influencer partnerships, email marketing, and more, learning how to use creative testing and data to drive revenue and improve customer engagement.

This is a practical, learning-focused role where you’ll support the growth team, get exposure to paid media (especially Meta), short-form video, and content creation, and develop skills in analytics and marketing strategy. We’re looking for someone proactive, curious, and eager to learn, with an interest in eCommerce and working with a kids’ product.

Key Responsibilities:

You’ll start by supporting activity across channels, with the aim of taking ownership of specific areas as you develop.

  • Plan, create, and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, with a focus on short-form video and product-led content.
  • You will be comfortable in front of camera appearing in content across digital channels.
  • Produce multiple variations of content for creative testing, learning what drives engagement, clicks, and conversions
  • Support paid media activity (Meta initially), including ad setup, creative input, and basic performance monitoring
  • Assist with identifying and managing influencers and UGC creators, including outreach, gifting, and content coordination
  • Support email marketing campaigns using Klaviyo, including building emails, segmenting audiences, and reviewing performance
  • Contribute to the wider content engine, including website updates and basic SEO improvements
  • Help ensure content and messaging is consistent across all channels
  • Track and report on key metrics (engagement, traffic, revenue), identifying what’s working and what isn’t
  • Use data and insights to suggest improvements to campaigns, content, and overall performance
  • Support day-to-day marketing activity in a small team, getting involved wherever needed

As you progress, you may take ownership of specific channels or activities, managing them with increasing independence and accountability.

Candidate Requirements

We’re not expecting you to know everything. This is a learning role. What matters most is attitude, curiosity, and willingness to get stuck in.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has an interest in social media, content creation, or marketing in general
  • Is comfortable using platforms like Instagram, TikTok, or similar (personal use is fine) and appearing in content.
  • Enjoys being creative and is open to experimenting with ideas and content
  • Has a basic understanding that marketing is there to drive results (not just likes)
  • Has existing experience with tools like Canva, CapCut, ChatGPT
  • Is willing to learn how to use analytical platforms and software
  • Can think logically and is open to working with data to improve performance
  • Is proactive and comfortable working in a small, fast-moving business
  • Has good communication skills and is able to work as part of a team
  • Has GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above
  • Has the right to live and work in the UK

Bonus (not essential):

  • Any experience creating content (social media, video, design, etc.)
  • An interest in eCommerce or online brands
  • An understanding of parenting audiences or children’s products

The Apprenticeship

This role will be part of a level three Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship provided by The Marketing Trainer. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics over its 15-month duration, including:

  • Campaign management;
  • Content creation;

  • Project Management;
  • And much, much more.

All training and support will be conducted remotely via small group training cohorts and one-to-one coaching sessions that ensure you receive individualised support along the entirety of the apprenticeship.
