Location: Stonecrossing, Dartford

Working Hours: 9am to 5pm 37.5 hour week

Salary: £19k – £24k

Our client is a well-established UK supplier supporting the theatre, film, television, and live-events industries. They provide an extensive range of technical products and materials used by propmakers, scenic artists, production teams, and entertainment professionals. With a supportive team culture and a practical, hands-on working environment, our client is known for reliability, industry expertise, and international distribution across creative and production sectors.

 

About the Role

This is a varied role where the successful candidate will develop a broad mix of marketing skills. While there’s room for creativity, the core focus will be on communications, product promotion, and website optimisation, including Google Shopping and AdSearch.

The ideal candidate is someone who can work collaboratively within the team but is also confident taking ownership of tasks and working independently. Our client offers the best of both worlds — a close-knit team where you’ll get to know everyone, combined with the scale and variety of larger, more interesting projects.

They are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, following interviews in mid-January 2026, though they are open to longer notice periods for the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

With time, the role’s key responsibilities will be to:

  • Create and execute product promotion and brand awareness campaigns across the marketing year, in alignment with the strategic goals laid out in the marketing plan
  • Creating and executing email campaigns using their CRM and Mailchimp
  • Including, but not limited to:
    • Creating audiences based on sales history, engagement with the company, and location via our CRM
    • Drafting copy
    • Creating Product promotions
    • Creating Newsletters
    • Promoting events, and our attendance at events
    • Creating and Tracking KPIs
  • Social Media:
    • Responsible for creating posts in line with broader campaigns
    • Create a minimum of 2 posts a week to improve audience engagement – one product focused, one more social/engagement.
    • Check all social media feeds every working day and respond to customer posts and queries.
    • Collaborate with customers/creators and suppliers to create relevant and engaging content
    • Creating and tracking KPIs
  • Google Shopping/ Adsearch/PPC learn about and develop campaigns supporting their broader aims to improve reach, product and company awareness and boost sales.
  • Search Engine Optimisation – develop the website SEO elements (within reason) to support better website reach
  • Tracking marketing activities: creating and following KPIs and ROIs on campaigns
  • Obtain and edit product images: through contacting suppliers, generating images in-house, or contacting customers/creators for images of products in use.
  • Create promotional materials such as leaflets, posters and banners for print and digital formats as required.
  • Videos – help in the creation of – depending on skillset, responsible for editing and publishing videos, including subtitles.
  • Assist at Trade shows and events as required.

 

 

Candidate Requirements

  • A full driving licence is preferred but not essential.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Must have achieved a C/4 or above in GCSE English and maths
  • Must be a proactive self-starter who’s eager to learn and open to constructive feedback.
  • Have an interest in theatre or the wider creative industries is a bonus.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and good judgement are important for this role.
  • Your professional background is less important than your attitude; we’re focused on finding the right person, not a specific career history.

 

Employee Benefits

Employees working a five-day week are entitled to 28 days’ annual leave per calendar year, inclusive of bank and public holidays. After completing one full calendar year of continuous employment, full-time employees will receive one additional day of holiday per year of service, up to a maximum of 33 days including bank or public holidays. Employees also have access to a workplace pension, including the option to participate in a salary-sacrifice pension scheme.

 

 The Apprenticeship

This role will be part of a level three Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship provided by The Marketing Trainer. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics over its 15-month duration, including:

  • Campaign management;
  • Content creation;
  • Social Media marketing;
  • Digital and traditional communications;
  • Brand management;
  • Communication skills;
  • Project Management;
  • And much, much more.

All training and support will be conducted remotely via small group training cohorts and one-to-one coaching sessions that ensure you receive individualised support along the entirety of the apprenticeship.

In addition to this, the successful candidate will be enrolled on a full CIM Foundation Certificate at no extra cost. This means that once you’re finished on the apprenticeship you’ll be awarded two distinct qualifications as opposed to one.
