About the Role
The individual will support a range of marketing and sales activities, developing the ability to manage multiple tasks while gaining hands-on experience. The role offers a balance of reactive work, responding to day-to-day marketing needs, alongside proactive involvement in campaigns and initiatives aimed at driving brand growth and increasing sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Social Media Executive with scheduling and managing content across all social channels.
- Monitor and engage with customer reviews and social media interactions, responding to comments and likes where appropriate.
- Coordinate collaborations with bloggers and influencers, including invitations to venues and event planning.
- Support administrative tasks, including managing spreadsheets, updating business data, and tracking city or internal events.
- Update the website with sports fixtures, live music events, and other relevant assets.
- Assist with the distribution of print materials and merchandise to local and remote venues.
- Help source suppliers and place orders for site or office needs.
- Use Canva to assist in creating engaging marketing content.
- Follow up on sales enquiries, promoting packages and upsells where applicable.
- Manage leads from campaigns, including seasonal promotions such as Christmas initiatives.
- Monitor relevant online forums and social media groups for potential bookings or opportunities.
Requirements
- Have the right to live and work in the UK.
- GCSEs at grade C/Level 4 or above.
- Educated to A-level standard and above.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ideally has experience in sales or customer service roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Comfortable working in an office environment.
- Familiarity with platforms like DesignMyNight is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Awareness of current online marketing trends and social media channels.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and customer-focused.
- Background in hospitality, customer service, or sales is desirable.
- Highly organized, personable, and professional with a positive attitude.
The Apprenticeship
This role will be part of a level three Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship provided by The Marketing Trainer. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics over its 15-month duration, including:
- Campaign management;
- Content creation;
- Social Media marketing;
- Digital and traditional communications;
- Brand management;
- Communication skills;
- Project Management;
- And much, much more.
All training and support will be conducted remotely via small group training cohorts and one-to-one coaching sessions that ensure you receive individualised support along the entirety of the apprenticeship.
In addition to this, the successful candidate will be enrolled on a full CIM Foundation Certificate at no extra cost. This means that once you’re finished on the apprenticeship you’ll be awarded two distinct qualifications as opposed to one.
