They work across a range of services including social media marketing, paid advertising, email marketing, SEO, web design, branding, graphic design and wider digital strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, ambitious agency at an early stage of growth. As one of the first key hires in the business, you will have the chance to get involved in a broad range of marketing activity and develop your skills across both creative and analytical areas.
About the Role
Our client is looking for a Marketing Apprentice to support the delivery of marketing activity for the agency and its clients.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you will get involved in content creation, social media, video editing, graphic design, campaign support, research, reporting and day-to-day marketing coordination. You will work closely with the business owner and gain real exposure to how marketing campaigns are planned, created, delivered and reviewed.
The role would suit someone who is creative, organised, keen to learn and interested in both the visual and performance side of marketing. This is not just a “make things look nice” role. You will also be expected to think about audiences, results, campaign performance and how marketing activity supports business goals.
You do not need to be the finished article, but you should have a genuine interest in marketing, social media, content, design, video and digital trends.
Key Responsibilities
As a Marketing Apprentice, your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the planning, creation and scheduling of content across social media, email and web channels
- Creating social media posts, graphics, short-form videos, presentations and other marketing assets
- Helping to edit video content for social media, client campaigns and promotional use
- Writing copy for social media, websites, emails, blogs and other digital or offline channels
- Supporting the delivery of marketing campaigns for the agency and its clients
- Helping to manage and update social media accounts
- Monitoring engagement, campaign performance and basic marketing data
- Conducting market, customer and competitor research
- Supporting SEO, PPC, email marketing and website-related activity where required
- Liaising with clients and external suppliers, such as printers or creative partners, where appropriate
- Supporting print-based marketing activity when needed
- Using tools such as Canva, Adobe software, CapCut or similar platforms to create marketing content
- Exploring how AI tools can support marketing productivity, content development and campaign ideas
- Keeping work organised and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of marketing projects
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be:
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Achieved GCSE English and maths at 4/C and above
- Genuinely interested in starting a career in marketing
- Creative, but also able to think logically and analytically
- Interested in social media, content creation, video, design and digital marketing
- Comfortable writing, editing and communicating ideas clearly
- Organised and able to manage tasks with support
- Keen to learn and willing to take feedback
- Positive, proactive and reliable
- Interested in how marketing helps businesses attract customers and grow
- Confident using digital tools and open to learning new platforms
- Interested in working with B2B clients across sectors such as engineering, energy and professional services
Beneficial
- Experience with video editing, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, social media management, websites, SEO, PPC or email marketing would be useful, but full training and support will be provided.
- A driving licence would be beneficial due to the location and potential client-related activity, but this can be discussed during the recruitment process.
About the Apprenticeship
Alongside the role, the successful candidate will complete the Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship is designed to help learners develop practical marketing skills across a range of channels, including social media, email marketing, content creation, websites, SEO, campaign planning, analytics, customer insight and brand communications.
You will receive structured training, coaching and support throughout the programme, while applying what you learn directly within your day-to-day role.
The apprenticeship typically covers areas such as:
- Marketing principles and customer behaviour
- Campaign planning and delivery
- Social media and content marketing
- Email marketing
- Website and SEO basics
- Data, reporting and campaign evaluation
- Brand, tone of voice and audience targeting
- Working with internal teams, clients and suppliers
- Professional marketing behaviours and workplace skills
