So why a salary calculator?
A really common question we get asked when discussing apprenticeships with employers is “How much should we pay our apprentice?”. Unfortunately, there are no strict rules around this other than the minimum apprenticeship hourly rate of £8 an hour. For this reason, it’s slightly harder to gauge what the market average is and what you should look to offer a potential apprentice.
So, we decided we’d create a quick and easy salary calculator to help you get a rough idea of what you should be looking to pay your marketing/market research apprentice based on their location, their educational background, and their current experience. These calculations are based on a 37.5-hour working week.
The final output will be a ball-park figure and like anything in life there will be a multitude of variables that need to be taken into consideration. However, we’d be happy to guide you further with this. We hope you find this useful. 🤓
So, what’s next?
Another cost to consider is employer National Insurance. We’ve built a simple tool to help you calculate what you might need to pay, if anything at all. Check it out here.
