Role and responsibilities:
As a Marketing Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day marketing activity across digital and offline channels. No two days will be the same — one day you might be drafting a social media post or updating the website, and the next you could be helping to design leaflets or track campaign performance.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the development and delivery of marketing campaigns and promotions
- Creating engaging content for social media, email, and web platforms
- Conducting basic market research to spot trends and opportunities
- Supporting with photography, videography, and creative design tasks
- Helping to plan and execute in-store promotions and leaflet drops
- Tracking performance metrics and preparing simple reports
- Supporting the wider team with general marketing and administrative tasks
You’ll be learning on the job, guided by an experienced Line Manager who’s invested in helping you develop your marketing skills.

You’ll need to:
- Have GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above
- Ideally educated to degree or A-level standard
- Be eligible to live and work in the UK
- Be a confident communicator with a willingness to learn
- Have a strong eye for detail and good organisational skills
- Have a basic working knowledge of social media platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram
- Have basic video editing and design skills
- Be a driver (due to the location and nature of the role)

The apprenticeship
This role will be part of a level three Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship provided by The Marketing Trainer. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics over its 15-month duration, including:
- Campaign management;
- Content creation;
- Social Media marketing;
- Digital and traditional communications;
- Brand management;
- Communication skills;
- Project Management;
- And much, much more.
All training and support will be conducted remotely via small group training cohorts and one-to-one coaching sessions that ensure you receive individualised support along the entirety of the apprenticeship.
In addition to this, the successful candidate will be enrolled on a full CIM Foundation Certificate at extra no cost. This means that once you’re finished on the apprenticeship you’ll be awarded two distinct qualifications as opposed to one.
