Someone looking impressed with marketing apprenticeships

If you’re looking to build your marketing team then marketing apprenticeships can be an effective way of bringing new team members into your organisation, upskilling existing employees, and filling skills gaps. Not only this, but you can utilise your apprenticeship levy contributions to do so. This approach means that you’re able to recruit cheaply, flexibly, and whilst utilising funds that you’d lose otherwise.

What is the apprenticeship levy?

The apprenticeship levy is a government initiative requiring employers with an annual payroll exceeding £3 million to invest in apprenticeship training. Set at 0.5% of your payroll, funds are collected into a digital account, which employers can then use to finance approved apprenticeship programmess. This system encourages businesses to actively participate in workforce development, tailoring training to their needs. If an employer doesn’t use the funds within a set timeframe, they expire and are lost.

Why apprenticeships suit large organisations

Apprenticeships offer levy-paying employers a strategic advantage by maximising their investment in workforce development. The apprenticeship levy enables businesses to nurture a skilled workforce tailored to their specific needs, fostering industry-specific expertise. The apprenticeship levy incentivises employers to actively engage in shaping their workforce, ensuring a direct return on investment in terms of enhanced productivity and innovation.
