About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to support the planning and delivery of marketing activity that aligns with the organisation’s objectives. You’ll gain hands-on experience promoting a distinctive venue with historic accommodation, coastal dining, and versatile event spaces.
The role is ideal for someone starting a career in marketing, with exposure to communications, digital marketing and social media. We’re looking for a proactive, organised individual who enjoys getting involved in events and supporting front-of-house and membership teams as part of a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of the organisation’s brand activity, helping to ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels.
- Assist with planning and delivering marketing campaigns across digital, social media and traditional channels.
- Help ensure marketing activity supports both short- and long-term objectives by contributing ideas, improving content and supporting lead generation activity.
- Create and update marketing materials including website content, newsletters, brochures and social media posts, in line with brand guidelines and data protection requirements.
- Use the organisation’s CRM systems to help capture and manage enquiries and leads.
- Carry out market research into industry trends, audience needs and competitor activity to support marketing decisions.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance, helping to assess what works well and where improvements can be made.
- Assist in identifying new opportunities to grow customer and member data to support business growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Has the right to live and work in England.
- Achieved English and maths GCSEs at 4/C and above.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well organised with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office; experience with CMS and CRM systems is a plus.
- Confident, proactive, and able to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
- Professional and discreet when dealing with sensitive information.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Proactive and able to use initiative.
- Strong English and maths skills.
- A creative background or interest is desirable.
- Comfortable working independently, as this role operates without a dedicated marketing team.
- Basic understanding of graphic design, and email marketing tools would be a plus.
The Apprenticeship
This role will be part of a level three Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship provided by The Marketing Trainer. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics over its 15-month duration, including:
- Campaign management;
- Content creation;
- Social Media marketing;
- Digital and traditional communications;
- Brand management;
- Communication skills;
- Project Management;
- And much, much more.
All training and support will be conducted remotely via small group training cohorts and one-to-one coaching sessions that ensure you receive individualised support along the entirety of the apprenticeship.
In addition to this, the successful candidate will be enrolled on a full CIM Foundation Certificate at no extra cost. This means that once you’re finished on the apprenticeship you’ll be awarded two distinct qualifications as opposed to one.
