The Basics

Role: Marketing Apprentice

Location: Stanstead Abbotts, Hertfordshire, SG12

Hours: 35 hours per week, typically 10am – 5pm- in office

Salary: £13,741 (£7.55 per hour starting rate, with opportunities for increases based on performance and progress. Bonuses may also be offered for meeting or exceeding monthly sales and marketing targets.)

Apprenticeship: Multi-Channel Marketer level 3

Qualifications: Free CIM Foundation Certificate worth £1,000+

Our client is a fast-growing sneaker care and streetwear brand specialising in sneaker care products and sneaker cleaning and restoration services. Based in Hertfordshire, they’ve built a loyal following both locally and online through their creative approach to content and community building. Their shop combines retail, restoration, and brand storytelling — offering an exciting environment for someone passionate about sneakers and social media to make an impact.

 

About the Role

This is a hands-on, creative marketing role where you’ll be responsible for growing the brand’s online and local presence through TikTok, Instagram, and digital campaigns. You’ll help turn followers into customers, build an active community, and drive sales of cleaning kits and sneaker services.

You’ll get involved in everything from filming content and managing TikTok Shop listings to helping run live streams, reporting on ad performance, and developing local brand partnerships.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Creating and posting engaging TikTok and Instagram Reels
  • Managing TikTok Shop listings and supporting product promotions
  • Assisting with Facebook/Instagram ad campaigns and reporting on results
  • Coordinating collaborations with local dry cleaners, barbers, and gyms
  • Maintaining brand consistency and creating short-form testimonial or product videos

 

Who They’re Looking For

You don’t need years of experience — just a genuine passion for sneakers, streetwear, and social media.
You’ll be confident creating content, comfortable with TikTok and Instagram, and keen to learn how to turn creativity into real results.

Key skills and qualities:

  • Achieved grade 4/C and above in English and maths GCSE
  • Ideally educated to A-level standard
  • Interest in sneaker culture and digital marketing
  • Confident using TikTok, Instagram, and editing tools like CapCut or Canva
  • Organised, creative, and full of ideas
  • Good communication and attention to detail

 

The Apprenticeship

This role will be part of a level three Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship provided by The Marketing Trainer. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics over its 15-month duration, including:

  • Campaign management;
  • Content creation;
  • Social Media marketing;
  • Digital and traditional communications;
  • Brand management;
  • Communication skills;
  • Project Management;
  • And much, much more.

All training and support will be conducted remotely via small group training cohorts and one-to-one coaching sessions that ensure you receive individualised support along the entirety of the apprenticeship.

In addition to this, the successful candidate will be enrolled on a full CIM Foundation Certificate at no extra cost. This means that once you’re finished on the apprenticeship you’ll be awarded two distinct qualifications as opposed to one.
