Looking to hire a marketing or market research apprentice? Then let’s get started
So you want to hire a marketing apprentice
At this point, you’ve probably sat down, read about apprenticeships, looked into training providers, come to the conclusion that you’d like to pull the trigger, and hopefully think that we’re the right provider for you. So what’s next?
Well, you probably have some questions like…
“What sort of candidate can I hire?”
It’s a common misconception that apprentices are all 16-year-olds straight out of school.
The reality is that as long as an individual is 16 years old or older, lives in the UK, and has the right to work in the UK, we’re likely able to enrol them on the apprenticeship.
This means that you’ll have access to a huge pool of potential talent including college completers, graduates, and those looking to retrain.
“How much will it cost me?”
Our marketing apprenticeship programmes will typically cost small organisations between £0 – £550 and between £8,000 – £11,000 for larger levy-paying employers.
If you’re unsure which category you’d fall into, hit the button below and book a call with one of our Customer Support Team who will be happy to answer all of your questions.
“How does the process work?”
“What do your clients say about you?”
Apprenticeship programmes have transformed the hiring process for junior marketing staff for me, offering undeniable benefits such as increased productivity, cost-effectiveness, and fresh perspectives. The apprentices’ willingness to learn injects new life into the team and improves management and marketing skills. Partnering with companies like The Marketing Trainer enhances the success of apprentices, making it a game-changing strategy for businesses.
The Marketing Trainer has supported our business by offering apprenticeships in digital marketing and customer care. This has been a great way to scale our business whilst being able to offer opportunities to students who want to learn and succeed in what they are doing within our business. Mitch is an enthusiastic teacher, an excellent communicator, a consummate professional in his field, and importantly was excellent at supporting our apprentices and the businesses’ needs.
“How quickly can you get started?”
As soon as you’re ready.
When you’re ready to pull the trigger, and we have the information we need, we can activate the ads and start searching for your ideal marketing apprentice.
“How long will the process take?”
Typically, the candidate sourcing process will take 1 – 2 weeks.
The signup process will take between 2 – 3 hours and can be split up across a working week.
On average, our clients start the process and send an offer within 4 – 6 weeks.
“What will I have to do?”
Exactly the same as if you were hiring a regular employee.
People think that apprentices require hours upon hours of development and support over regular employees. But, what a lot of people forget is that we’re here to help you with all of this as well.
The truth is, within three months you won’t even be able to tell the difference between your apprentice and the other members of your team.
“How much should I pay them?”
This is the age-old question.
Full-time apprentices (40 hours per week) can be paid £13,312pa in their first year. However, we advise a starting salary of between £16,000 – £20,000 depending on a variety of factors.
But don’t worry, we can discuss this with you on a call.
“What if something goes wrong?”
Don’t worry, you’re not tied into any contracts.
If something goes wrong during the apprenticeship, just follow your regular procedure and we’ll work with you to resolve any issues.
If it just doesn’t work out, you’re not obligated to keep your apprentice on the books.
