This role is ideal for someone who is ambitious, creative, confident and eager to learn. You will be responsible for and play a vital role in supporting our growth plans over the next five years through organisation and the ability to deliver and own initiatives to drive sales within a budget.

 

As the Marketing and Advertising Apprentice, you will develop and deliver enticing digital campaigns to drive revenue and engagement, planning promotions and analysing data ensuring effective ROI’s. Your efforts will help bring our vision to life: building a large-scale professional, successful organisation while retaining the family feel of our business.

  • Taking ownership of and evaluating marketing campaigns, advertising, and optimisation metrics to ensure campaigns are effective – reacting quickly and revising campaigns where needed to ensure that trends are acted upon to maximise ROI.
  • Conducting market research
  • Developing relationships with and working alongside internal teams to localise marketing initiatives
  • Menu Management: Analyse data and collaborate with RGMs to determine optimal menu offerings and pricing strategies for each store location.
  • Marketing Materials: Develop and create marketing materials, including leaflets, for targeted campaigns across all 24 stores. Determine allocation percentages based on market analysis.
  • Social Media Management: Manage the Facebook pages for all 24 stores. This includes creating engaging content (photos, videos), securing brand team approval, and handling reviews, comments, and follower engagement.
  • Content Creation: Develop brand-related content including images, videos, and presentations for use in marketing campaigns.
  • Local Store Marketing: Develop and implement local marketing strategies to generate sales and revenue for each store.
  • Digital Advertising: Help to plan and execute Facebook ad campaigns for each store, focusing on brand awareness, likes, and post engagement. Determine daily campaign budgets based on strategic analysis.
  • Google My Business (GMB) Management: Ensure accurate store information (including menus and hours) on GMB for all 24 locations. Respond to customer reviews (providing solutions) and maintain optimal listing performance.
  • Aggregator Management: Increase sales on platforms like Just Eat, Uber Eats, and Deliveroo through strategic promotions. Handle order functionality, analyse performance reports, suggest sales-boosting strategies, and manage refunds.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Extract data from various platforms and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to track marketing and sales performance. Generate reports and present findings to the team for actionable insights.
  • Training & Support: Collaborate with RGMs to train local staff on Local Store Marketing (LSM) strategies, manage refund-related queries arising on aggregator platforms and Google, and address customer complaints on both aggregators and Google platforms.

 

The ideal candidate

  • A drive to understand commercial business;

  • Have business acumen;
  • Be proactive and able to use their initiative;
  • Be curious and enquiring;
  • Have GCSE’s in English and maths at C/4 and above;
  • Ideally live within 60 minutes of Brentford so that travel when required is manageable.

The apprenticeship

This role will be part of a level three Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship provided by The Marketing Trainer. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics over its 15-month duration, including:

  • Campaign management;
  • Content creation;
  • Social Media marketing;
  • Digital and traditional communications;
  • Brand management;
  • Communication skills;
  • Project Management;
  • And much, much more.

All training and support will be conducted remotely via small group training cohorts and one-to-one coaching sessions that ensure you receive individualised support along the entirety of the apprenticeship.

In addition to this, the successful candidate will be enrolled on a full CIM Foundation Certificate at extra no cost. This means that once you’re finished on the apprenticeship you’ll be awarded two distinct qualifications as opposed to one.
