About our Client
Our client is a leading Manchester-based Software as a Service (SaaS) company looking to recruit a talented Content Marketing Assistant as part of a Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship. The company has delivered outstanding growth, particularly over the last two years, in the core social housing and local authority markets. As they continue to expand, they are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support their marketing efforts.
Job Purpose
The Content Marketing Assistant will play a key role in supporting the execution of marketing initiatives and campaigns to enhance brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement. This role will involve working across various marketing channels, including content marketing, events, social media, and digital campaigns. While no prior experience is required, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals at the start of their marketing careers, whether recent graduates or those seeking their second role. The ideal candidate should be creative, proactive, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement content marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and drive engagement across digital platforms.
- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across digital, social media, and email platforms, ensuring timely delivery and consistency with overall marketing objectives.
- Create and edit high-quality marketing content, including blog posts, case studies, social media posts, and email newsletters, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and SEO best practices.
- Monitor and report on key marketing performance metrics, helping to analyse campaign effectiveness.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to support marketing initiatives, ensuring cohesive messaging and branding across all channels.
Preferred Skills & Knowledge
- Achieved grade C/4 and above in English and maths at GCSE.
- A degree in Media, Communications, Business, English, Journalism, Humanities, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- A creative mindset with a keen interest in digital marketing and content creation.
- Basic understanding of marketing principles and brand awareness.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop or similar design tools (desirable).
- Knowledge of email marketing tools (e.g. HubSpot, Mailchimp) (desirable but will be taught).

About the Apprenticeship
This role will be part of a level three Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship provided by The Marketing Trainer. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics over its 15-month duration, including:
- Campaign management;
- Content creation;
- Social Media marketing;
- Digital and traditional communications;
- Brand management;
- Communication skills;
- Project Management;
- And much, much more.
All training and support will be conducted remotely via small group training cohorts and one-to-one coaching sessions that ensure you receive individualised support along the entirety of the apprenticeship.
In addition to this, the successful candidate will be enrolled on a full CIM Foundation Certificate at no extra cost. This means that once you’re finished on the apprenticeship you’ll be awarded two distinct qualifications as opposed to one.
