Job Title: Marketing and Sales Coordinator Apprentice

Location: Cranleigh, Surrey

Salary: £20,000

Contract: Full Time

Working Time: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

Working arrangement: Initially 4 days in the office during induction then 3 days in the office 2 days remote

Apprenticeship: Multi-Channel Marketer level 3

Additional qualification: Foundation CIM level 3

A little about the employer:

Our client is a long-standing provider of IT services based in Cranleigh, Surrey. They help small and large organisations to manage and maintain their IT systems and secure their data. Their service portfolio includes IT support, Telephony, IT security, and cloud solutions.

They’re looking to hire a Marketing Coordinator Apprentice as part of the expansion of their team.

The main purpose of the role

You’ll be responsible for coordinating the marketing activities in line with the organisation’s marketing plan in order to build their brand.

This will include social media, collateral creation, website management, lead gen campaigns, advertising and reporting.

Additionally, you’ll work closely with and support the sales team in their daily tasks in order to ensure efficiency between departments.

Key relationships will be with

a) The Sales and Marketing Manager;
b) Whilst liaising with the sales team, partners, vendors, customers.

The main duties include

  • Providing administrative support to the sales team, ensuring client needs are met;
  • Coordinate and deliver all social media activity as per the marketing plan;
  • Assist with the development of the marketing plan and help to manage budgets;
  • Manage the website and look to improve and increase user activity;
  • Coordinate, design, and develop marketing materials, including sales collateral, data sheets, white papers etc;
  • Work with Sales and projects for the creation of case studies and testimonials, looking to increase customer satisfaction and feedback rate;
  • Coordinate outbound marketing (including ensuring prospect requirements are met) this includes lead generation campaigns;
  • Assist in the analysis of marketing campaigns and customer feedback responses;
  • Get involved in market research to understand the best methodologies for campaigns;
  • Maintain company document standardisation and corporate photo library;
  • Assisting with the development and management of vendor relationships;
  • Act as a CRM champion to ensure reporting needs are met, both for Sales and marketing;
  • Provide other administrative assistance as required;
  • Be part of the telephone reception rota;
  • Ensure all information is handled within the company, ISO and legislative guidelines.

Skills and expertise

The ideal candidate for this role will…

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Be able to effectively develop relationships with clients and vendors;
  • Possess good copywriting and proofreading skills;
  • Be positive, flexible, proactive, and self-motivated whilst working with others;
  • Demonstrate strong creative flare;
  • Have a confident and determined approach;
  • Have the ability to prioritise and plan your own workload;
  • Possess a polite, confident and friendly telephone manner;
  • Be confident in using computers (Office applications and CRM are highly desirable);
  • Have an understanding of social media etiquette;
  • Have good numerical skills and be comfortable working with data.

Requirements

Minimum

  • GCSEs including English and Mathematics at C/4 and above;
  • Relevant Degree or A-levels in related subjects (We’re unable to accept candidates with marketing degrees);
  • Experience in a working environment;
  • Have some form of customer service experience;
  • Competent understanding of IT.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a busy office environment;
  • Some prior experience (internship, etc) though not mandatory;
  • Experience working with vendors and obtaining funding (though not mandatory).

The apprenticeship

This role will be part of a level three Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship provided by The Marketing Trainer. The apprenticeship covers a wide range of topics over its 15-month duration, including:

  • Campaign management;
  • Content creation;
  • Social Media marketing;
  • Digital and traditional communications;
  • Brand management;
  • Communication skills;
  • Project Management;
  • And much, much more.

All training and support will be conducted remotely via small group training cohorts and one-to-one coaching sessions that ensure you receive individualised support along the entirety of the apprenticeship.

In addition to this, the successful candidate will be enrolled on a full CIM Foundation Certificate at no extra cost. This means that once you’re finished on the apprenticeship you’ll be awarded two distinct qualifications as opposed to one.
