Are you struggling with OTJ (Off-The-Job Training)?

As marketing apprentices, there are tonnes of places to go when you’re looking for good material that you can use to learn and develop. And, a lot of it is free, which is always great. Here are some resources we’d recommend highly if you’re looking to learn using your OTJ hours.

Websites to hone those skills

LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning provides access to numerous video tutorials and courses on professional skills, software, and creative subjects. It’s not “free”, but you can get a trial for a limited time and cram what you can.

Hubspot Academy

Hubspot Academy offers free training courses on all things digital. Some of these courses come with certificates that you can show off. Courses range from 1 to 10 hours, but the content is great and super digestible.

Skillshop

Google’s very own platform for learning all things Google. This includes AdWords and Google Analytics courses that we’d highly recommend to anyone as part of their OTJ.

Udemy

Udemy provides a plethora of online courses, including many relevant to apprenticeships. From project management to coding, Udemy has it all. And, they run some great sales.

Meta Blueprint

Meta’s central repository of training for their platforms including Facebook and Instagram. This includes a number of courses on Social Media and paid advertising.

Tiktok learning centre

Similar to Meta’s Blueprint, Tiktok has its own learning centre full of resources around social media and its own platform.

Future Learn

Future Learn offers a free 7-day trial where you can take some of their courses. The one we’ve linked is specifically about launching social media campaigns.

Girls of Marketing

This site has a number of courses which are great for learning the basics and intermediate elements of digital marketing.
